Paulo apresenta a conclusão extraída dos argumentos anteriores.
Devido ao fato de a verdadeira sabedoria não vir do ser humano, mas de Deus, não há razão para se exaltar o agente humano usado por Deus para compartilhar a verdade.

1 Coríntios 3:18-23
Ter uma opinião elevada de nossa própria sabedoria é adularmos a nós mesmos, e a adulação de si mesmo é o passo que precede a decepção sobre si mesmo. A sabedoria que os homens mundanos estimam é néscia para Deus. Com quanta justiça Ele despreza e com quanta facilidade Ele pode confundi-los e impedir o seu progresso! Os pensamentos dos homens mais sábios do mundo têm vaidade, debilidade e são néscios para eles. Tudo isto deve nos ensinar a ser humildes e nos tornar dispostos para ser ensinados por Deus, como para que as pretensões da sabedoria e perícia humana não nos desviem das claras verdades reveladas por Cristo. A humanidade tem a tendência de se opor ao desígnio das misericórdias de Deus.
Observe as riquezas espirituais do crente verdadeiro: "Todas são suas" até os ministros e as ordenanças, sim, o próprio mundo é teu. Os santos têm tanto deste quanto a sabedoria infinita estimar conveniente para eles, e o possuem com a bênção divina. A vida é tua para que tenhas tempo e oportunidade de preparar-te para a vida no céu; e a morte é tua para que possas ir a possuí-lo. Ela é o bom mensageiro que te tira do pecado e do sofrimento, e te guia à casa de teu Pai. As coisas presentes são tuas para te sustentar no caminho; as coisas vindouras são tuas para te deleitares para sempre ao final de tua viagem. se pertencemos a Cristo e somos leais a Ele, todo o bem nos pertence e está assegurado para nós. Os crentes são os súditos de seu reino. Ele é o nosso Senhor; devemos reconhecer o seu domínio e nos submetermos alegremente às suas ordens. Deus em Cristo, reconciliando consigo mesmo o mundo pecador, e derramando as riquezas de sua graça sobre um mundo reconciliado) é a suma e a essência do Evangelho.
