ShareOur dear friends, pilot Daniel Lui, nurse Janelle Alder, and their 3 passengers have been missing somewhere over the ocean of south Philippines for almost three weeks now. After hundreds of hours and thousands of miles of searching, all we have found is a pillow and a pair of shoes. The search continues and we are still hoping for the best! But the barren search has left many of us struggling with how to feel and what to think. The sense of loss is real and the sorrow is raw. A few nights ago, I was hit with overwhelming sadness of the possibility of not finding our friends and them not being with us anymore. My tears were not only for the missing 5, but for all of us left with overwhelming sadness and frustrating confusion at their disappearance. As I sat in the sadness and confusion, my heart became encouraged by words that came to me, suddenly in the night. A new song from heaven, to bring rest and relief to my soul. I�ve never written a song before. But this first one is very special to me. It was roughly written and recorded in only an hour. It still needs fine tuning and I may rewrite it later. But here it is. It�s a child�s lullaby, dedicated to the children in the jungle who may struggle to sleep at night because their local superhero is still missing. Their one and only medivac helicopter pilot is gone. Many of them are asking, who will come rescue us now? As a lover of children, my heart hurts for them. I hope the words of this song will bring comfort and hope to all of God�s children, in the jungle, and around the world, as it did for me.
