ShareThe old Hawaiin town of Kalapana was once a populated beach town right at the base of the volcano Kilauea. The whole town was wiped out in the 1986 lava flow, and if you go there, there�s nothing left but a desolate desert of black rocks. But there�s something at the end of the road that draws hundreds of people each day. And in order to experience it, you must be willing to go past and beyond the paved, easy road. It�s a tiresome 4 mile hike, but when you get to the end of the road, it�s worth every single step. Because it brings you to what I call one of the top 5 most amazing things to see before you die. And that is raging rivers of lava flowing into the Pacific Ocean. I went to see it with my own eyes. And what I saw was absolutely mesmerizing. But in order to see it you have to be driven and drawn further beyond. Jesus was driven and drawn to go further beyond. He went the distance for you. Today, I appeal to you to tell the Lord, �Take me to where I�ve never been before. Do through me what I�ve never done before. Take me further than I�ve ever gone before. And make me driven and drawn to go further beyond.� You know what is the motivating power that enables us to have that experience? It�s the reality that while God wants to use us to reach the darkest dimmest corners of planet earth, at the same time, He wants to reach the darkest dimmest corners of our life.
