If truth is “dead,” what anchors your life? | Bible Truth | 04 21 2026 Your Daily Portion Sabbath School Lesson with LD “The Anomaly” Harris (L. David Harris) Our world is drifting into confusion about truth. Culture says truth is personal, flexible, and constantly changing. But Jesus says something radically different, “I am the truth.” Scripture presents truth as something real, pure, and dependable, because it comes from a God who does not change. John 17:17 declares that God’s Word sanctifies, it sets us apart and shapes us by truth. Proverbs 30:5 to 6 warns that every word of God is pure, and we must not add to it. Psalm 12:6 describes God’s words as flawless, tested, and trustworthy. Together, these verses say the same thing, truth is not invented by humans, it is revealed by God, and it has the power to transform. Hebrews 13:8 reminds us that Jesus does not change, and His truth does not decay. At the same time, our understanding can grow as we study. There are “mines of truth” still to be discovered, not contradictions, but deeper clarity that builds on what God has already revealed. That is why the Bible must remain the measuring stick. 1 Thessalonians 2:13 shows that God’s Word is to be received as what it truly is, the Word of God, not merely human opinion. Psalm 33:4 to 5 ties God’s Word to uprightness, faithfulness, and righteousness. Ephesians 1:13 shows that truth is connected to the gospel that saves and seals. In the end, every other source, culture, scholarship, feelings, and even human reason, must be tested by Scripture.
