How do we experience more of God’s presence? | Experience God’s Presence | 05 15 2026 Your Daily Portion Sabbath School Lesson with LD “The Anomaly” Harris (L. David Harris) How do we experience more of God’s presence in daily life? This passage points us in a simple but searching direction. If we thought and talked more of Jesus, and less of self, we would have far more of His presence. That means the issue is not only whether God is near, but whether our minds and conversations are centered on Him. We often lose peace by taking counsel with our doubts and fears. When we try to solve everything before we trust God, our perplexities only deepen. But when we come to Him feeling helpless and dependent, in humble and trusting faith, He hears our cry and brings light into our hearts. Faith does not require us to understand everything first. It calls us to trust the One who already sees everything clearly. This lesson also highlights the power of praise. Praise lifts the soul heavenward. Gratitude shifts our attention from what is missing to what God has already done. In heaven, God is worshiped with song and music, and when we express reverent thanksgiving on earth, we begin to join that atmosphere of worship even now. So the pathway into God’s presence is not complicated. Think more about Jesus. Talk more about Jesus. Bring your helplessness to Him in trust. Refuse to let fear lead your thoughts. And fill your life with praise and thanksgiving. The more self moves out of the center, the more room there is for the light, peace, and presence of Christ.
