What do the heroes of faith teach us about trusting God now? | Examples of Faith | 05 20 2026 Your Daily Portion Sabbath School Lesson with LD “The Anomaly” Harris (L. David Harris) Hebrews 11 shows us that faith is not theory. It is the living response of people who trusted God enough to obey Him, wait on Him, suffer for Him, and keep walking with Him even when they could not yet see the outcome. Faith gives substance to hope and confidence in what is still unseen. Verse 1 reminds us that faith reaches beyond what is visible. It holds onto both immediate needs and eternal promises. Verse 3 teaches that even creation itself points us to the Creator, and in many ways, belief in God as Maker is one of the most reasonable acts of faith. Verse 6 brings the message into sharp focus. So faith is not borrowed confidence or religious emotion. It is personal trust in the faithfulness of God. It listens to His Word, responds to His Spirit, and keeps walking even in darkness. That is why the hymn says it so well, great is Thy faithfulness. Our faith grows strongest when anchored in His.
